OLIVEAH ALMEDA

Director & Choreographer

Oliveah has over 22 years experience in dance training and spent most of her young dance career competing in All Star jazz, hiphop and pom.  Oliveah is a versatile and knowledgeable coach specialising in jazz, lyrical and All Star hiphop. Across her competitive dance career, she accumulated 15 state titles, 20 national titles and 7 medals at Dance Worlds, International Cheer Union & China Cheerleading Association.

In 2011, Oliveah represented Australia in the jazz doubles category at the International Cheer Union (ICU) in Florida, where she made history as the first female Australian to receive a medal in any All-Star dance category. She later returned to the USA with the Australian representative team in 2013 to become a further 3x BRONZE medallist in both jazz and pom. Today, Oliveah is the only Australian dancer to have represented the country in every dance division at ICU; team jazz, team pom, team hip-hop, jazz double, pom double and hip-hop double.

Having competed and returned home undefeated in various competitions around the world including: National Dance Alliance (NDA) - Daytona Beach USA, Asia-Pacific Grand International - Hong Kong, Chinese Cheerleading Association - China, Aussie Gold - Queensland, Australian All Star Cheerleading Federation (AASCF) - Melbourne, Sydney and Queensland, Oliveah boasts extensive knowledge and expertise as a competitive dancer and a strong understanding of the calibre required to stand out in a growing and highly competitive industry.

Oliveah's professional teaching career began at the age of 15, teaching technique classes and covering private lessons. Very quickly the realisation that teaching was her ultimate passion became evident and so she began teaching lessons in her backyard and at studios. Today, Oliveah is responsible for choreography multiple solos with over 300 placings, choreographing world bid winning jazz routines, a senior jazz routine that placed Top 20 at Dance Worlds in 2023 and a youth lyrical routine which ranked Top 4 at the prestigious Dance Summit in Orlando, Florida.

Aside from her competitive and coaching history, Oliveah also worked as a professional cheerleader with the NRL Sydney Roosters Girls from 2014 - 2018 and was part of the 2018 Grand Final performing in front of 82,000 spectators. After her retirement she was invited to perform as a Canberra Raider's cheerleader for the 2019 NRL Grand Final. She also has many years of performance experience, showcasing her passion and talent for dance throughout a variety of shows including Madame Tussaud's on Hollywood Boulevard, Kennedy Space Centre, Universal Studios - USA, X Factor Australia, NRL Grand Final Half-time entertainment/State of Origin, The Polar Express Tour, The Sydney Royal Easter Show and numerous Christmas parades.

After completing her business degree, she now plans on extending herself to a larger community to offer students her unique and effective teaching style and create an environment where teamwork, success and a strong work ethic is paramount.
